Endless beaches, tropical life, and the rich culture of Ceylon, aka Sri Lanka, have enriched the story of KÚR. As a person who found therapeutic energy in surfing, at least once a year I would surf on the coastal beaches of Sri Lanka. Post-surfing, I would take long walks on the beach and admire the beauty in everything from seashells to marine diversity. The simplicity and understated beauty… The magic in the ocean. This seashell-shaped home-wear piece draws direct inspiration from island life. I worked with the Master Potter team to handcraft this beautiful multi-tasking sea-shell-inspired home-wear piece. By working with them, I was able to learn that pottery itself is a therapeutic form of craft. I hope this will encourage you to love and protect the ocean more and to surf sometimes.
