Handmade bobbin lace is created by artisanal lace weavers from the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka. This lace was introduced to Sri Lanka by Portuguese and it’s called Portuguese and Dutch Bobbin lace. Currently the craft is on the verge of extinction.
